Cornerstone is our newest transition home. Renovations were completed in late May 2017 and our first residents arrived mid-June. This 5 bedroom, 3 bath home is operating as a Phase 4 facility. This means that residents in this home have graduated out of the program at Cedar Mountain and have a vehicle, are holding down a steady job, and, most importantly, have shown that they are in a stage of recovery where they are ready for more independence and responsibility. The ladies living here will maintain relationships with those at Cedar Mountain, our current residents visit Cedar Mountain often, and the Cedar Mountain ladies love to come see the women at Cornerstone. These women will not have a live-in, full time House Mother like they do at Cedar Mountain, but will be expected to follow the established guidelines and will be supervised by the ministry as they learn how to stand on their own two feet. Just as with Cedar Mountain, the women who move in to Cornerstone will have no set timeline as to when they "must" leave. We are working to make exit plans available for those who feel ready to take another step of independence and get their own home or apartment; this will include, but is not limited to, making sure each women is prepared for the financial burdens of moving out by helping them with a savings account and budgeting.
